Safeguarding

Every member of staff is given safeguarding training and understands the need to pass on any concerns regarding the well-being of each child. Mrs L Saxton is the Child Protection Officer and Mrs U Thrower is the Deputy Child Protection Officer. All staff have read the document 'Keeping Children Safe in Education (Sept 2020).

Childline

The ChildLine Schools Service has recently visited all children in Years 5 & 6 to provide them with key messages about keeping safe.  It can be beneficial for these messages to be reinforced at home. The NSPCC has developed some guides for all parents of primary school aged children to speak to your child about keeping safe. Have a look at www.nspcc.org.uk.
 PREVENT

The Government is keen to ensure that schools do everything in their power to prevent radicalisation and have provided guidance through the PREVENT agenda. Staff and governors have been given basic training and are aware of what to look out for and how it should be dealt with.
